A crystal meditation is a practice in which we use a crystal to focus our mind.
When the eyes are still, our mind calms down. You can try it for yourself! The sensory input from our eyes generate numerous thought impulses in our nervous system that keeps our mind very busy. This is why meditation help us to reduce stress and over activity. In the beginning it may be hard to keep the eyes focused on a single point, but using a crystal can help you. You focus on a point in the crystal. When you meditate with your crystal, the crystal vibration of the crystal also help us reach our inner natural calm state.
How to use crystals in a Crystal Meditation
A simple crystal meditation may consist of placing a small crystal sphere before you and keep the focus on a point for at least 11 minutes without moving your eyes or changing position of the body. Most of us tend to move and feel all kinds of things in the body. Some become restless and are distracted by numerous thoughts.
The practice is to stay focused in spite of these sensations and phenomena. The key is your breath with which you may release these energies. Compare yourself to the sky, it is unaffected by clouds, the clouds just pass by. Let any thoughts pass by in the same way as a cloud in the sky of your mind, and let them pass without engaging with any of them.
If some important thought comes up, don’t worry it will come back to you later, so just let all your thoughts pass by. You might use a timer, so as not to distract you from your focus and keep your practice consistent. A clear quartz crystal or Calcite is an ideal choice for starters as it acts broadly on your entire being.
When you attempt to meditate, do it on a regular basis, at the same time every day. Try this simple meditation after work, perhaps on your way home to a busy family. Just 11 minutes sitting in a park, or natural setting, hold or set your crystal before you so your eyes are comfortable resting on it.

Crystal meditation helps you to release and clear your mind of troubling thoughts and ideas, which cause you worry and stress. The best times to do a crystal meditation is first thing in the morning and after work in the evening. The benefit of this is:

When you do a crystal meditation when arriving home after work, your mind is cleared by your practice and you can deal with the home situation.
